Welcome to the Calendar of Events section of Arkansas's Industry Insider website. The Tourism Development Section keeps a current listing of Arkansas's festivals and events. You can always check event listings for your community at www.arkansas.com/calendar.

RULES FOR PUBLICATION:

1. Events must be Arkansas events.
2. Events must be of interest to the visiting general public.
3. No entries will be accepted for non-tourism-related education seminars, classes or summer camp schedules. Entries will not be accepted for plays, lectures, performances, etc. without exact titles (no TBAs).
4. IMPORTANT: Proof your event online at www.arkansas.com a week or so after you have made your submission. Events are not posted immediately; they must first be approved by Tourism staff.
5. Enter approximately 50 words or less for the Detailed Description of the event.
6. Be sure the phone number you give for the Contact is accurate. This will be the phone number listed in the publication and on the web site.
7. Verify event dates with a current calendar. Be sure that the year of your event is entered correctly. That may sound obvious, but it is a common error to put this year's date on an event that will occur next year. If that is done, the computer will automatically kick the event out because it "thinks" the event has already occurred.
8. Keep a copy of your submission. If you must make changes to dates or other information call us, fax or email a copy of the changes circled and clearly marked "UPDATE," with your name and phone number; do not re-submit your event or there will be duplicates on the Web site. You cannot make changes once your event has been submitted - we will be glad to do that for you!
9. The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism reserves the right to edit or reject any entries that do not meet these criteria. The web site calendar will be updated on a regular basis. Please proof your event(s) online at www.arkansas.com a week or so after you have submitted your event information. It is very important that you take this opportunity to proof the details of your event and notify us of any necessary changes!
